What is the Eat Better & Move More Program

Eat Better & Move MoreAs part of the You Can! Steps to Healthier Aging campaign, the Administration on Aging entered a cooperative agreement with National Resource Center on Nutrition, Physical Activity & Aging at Florida International University to develop the Eat Better & Move More program. The center's Eat Better & Move More Guidebook is a 12-week nutrition and exercise program that was designed specifically for older adults.

About Eat Better & Move More

Ten Grant Awardees

Ten grants were awarded by Florida International University and Administration on Aging to implement the Eat Better & Move More program in geographically and ethnically diverse settings. Awardees were small to large organizations in urban, suburban and rural communities.

About National Resource Center on Nutrition, Physical Activity & Aging at FIU

Mission: To increase food and nutrition services in home and community-based social, health, and long-term care systems serving older adults.
