HHS Officials To Address Nation’s Largest Conference Of Professionals In The Field Of Aging

HHS Deputy Secretary Tevi D. Troy will join Assistant Secretary for Aging Josefina G. Carbonell to address the National Council on Aging/American Society on Aging Joint Conference to discuss long-term care challenges of an aging society.

Background:At the session entitled “The Future of Long Term Care in America,” Deputy Secretary Troy and Assistant Secretary Carbonell will highlight the Administration’s priorities that help Americans of all ages live longer, healthier lives through value driven, affordable and accessible health care, prevention, and expanding consumer choice. The National Council on Aging/American Society on Aging Joint Conference is the nation’s largest conference of aging professionals. This year’s conference, which has the theme of “Aging in America,” is expected to involve 4,000 professionals and advocates in the fields of aging, health, and education.
