U.S. Assistant Secretary for Aging to Address Aging Issues at the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas Annual Meeting February 24, 2005 Josefina G. Carbonell, assistant secretary for the Administration on Aging (AoA), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), will provide the keynote speech at the 5th Annual Luncheon Meeting of the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. on Friday, February 25. Assistant Secretary Carbonell will share her vision for the future of long-term living and address some of the challenges the aging services network will face as the baby boomers come of age. She will provide a national overview of long term care trends with respect to promoting community-based care, encouraging promoting health and wellness, and supporting caregivers. ### The AoA is a Federal agency dedicated to policy development, planning and the delivery of supportive home and community-based services to older persons and their caregivers through the national aging network of state and local agencies on aging, tribal organizations, service providers and volunteers. |
