Application Instructions

Discretionary Grants - How to Request a Continuation, Supplement, or Revision by mail

Continuations:
AoA allows grantees to request funding for an additional budget year within a multi-year project period by providing specific guidance contained in its Refunding Package.

Revisions:
A grantee may request a revision to a current Financial Assistance Award. As identified by Federal Administrative Regulations (45 CFR Part 74 for Non-Profit Organizations and 45 CFR Part 92 for State and Local governments), these revisions may include: modifications to the budget, changes in key personnel or no-cost extensions of time.

Supplemental Applications:
Supplemental applications must be initiated by existing grantees during the approved project period. All announcements of funds available are made through the Federal Register.

To request agency action on either a continuation of an active grant, a supplement or a revision to an existing Title IV grant, grantees must complete the Refunding Package.

BOTH Competitive and Non-Competitive Grant Applications required the following four (4) forms:

  • OMB Standard Form (SF) 424 – Application for Federal Assistance
  • OMB SF-424A, Budget Information - Nonconstruction Programs
  • OMB SF-424B, Assurances - Nonconstruction Programs
  • Certifications Regarding Debarment, Suspension And Other Responsibility Matters; Drug-Free Workplace Requirements and Lobbying.

A Notice of Financial Assistance Awarded will be sent to applicants whose projects have been approved for support by the AoA.
