Webinar Series: Legal Issues and Alzheimer’s
Presented by the Administration on Aging and the American Bar Association Commission on Law and Aging, this series covers legal issues of people with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and their caregivers. Persons with AD are particularly vulnerable to financial exploitation, physical or emotional abuse, and neglect both at home and in care facilities. These webinars, as outlined in the National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease, will help ensure that people with AD have their dignity, safety, and rights maintained.
The Legal Resources and Alzheimer’s Webinar Series includes 4 sessions:
- November 14th : For legal professionals (attorneys) on assessing decision making capacity of clients
- December 4th: For legal professionals on advance financial and health care planning
- December 12: For Aging Network staff on finding dementia capable legal
- January 24: For legal professionals on elder abuse, neglect and exploitation vis a vis clients with dementia
