Alzheimer's Association

The Alzheimer's Association is a non-profit group that supports families and caregivers of people with dementia. Chapters nationwide provide referrals to local resources and services, and sponsor support groups and educational programs. To link to the Alzheimer's Association website, click here.

The Alzheimer’s Association developed “CareFinder,” an interactive tool to help you choose home and residential care providers based on individual needs and preferences. You can enter information about specific needs and get a private, customized list of care recommendations and questions to ask care providers. To visit CareFinder, click here.

The Alzheimer’s Association also operates a 24/7 telephone helpline, available 365 days a year, that serves people with memory loss, caregivers, health care professionals, and the public. To contact them anytime call: 1-800-272-3900.

Alzheimer’s Association message boards and chat rooms provide an online communication forum. Topic titles include: I Have Alzheimer’s; I Have Early-Onset Dementia; Caregiver’s Forum; Discusiones en Español to name a few. To browse this site, click here.
