U.S. Assistant Secretary for Aging Josefina G. Carbonell to address 2007 Joint Conference of the American Society on Aging and National Council on Aging
Will receive 2007 NCOA Ollie Randall Award

HHS U.S. Assistant Secretary for Aging Josefina G. Carbonell will address a Critical Issues Session of the American Society on Aging/National Council on the Aging 2007 Joint Conference on Friday, March 9, 2007, in Chicago, Illinois.

Assistant Secretary Carbonell will join state and private sector officials to discuss exciting changes occurring in the modernization of health and long-term care systems in the United States. Carbonell will also receive the National Council on Aging’s (NCOA) Ollie Randall Award, which since 1963, has been presented to individuals honored for “singular and outstanding contributions toward advancing the cause of aging.”
