Approx. 4 million Americans currently have Alzheimer's disease. Right now, 1 in 10 persons over age 65, and nearly 50% of those over 85 have Alzheimer's.

Unless a cure or prevention is found, it is estimated that 14 million Americans will have Alzheimer's disease by 2050."

This section of the Alzheimer's Resource Room webpage is designed specifically for professionals and providers who work with and serve persons with Alzheimer's disease (AD). Within this portion of the site you will find Alzheimer's diagnostic and treatment guidelines & assessment tools (click the Assessment & Diagnosis tab above), links to information on the latest Alzheimer's research (click Latest Research tab), and detailed descriptions and information on unique replicable models of care for persons with AD developed under the Alzheimer's Demo Program (click Service Delivery Models tab).

Finally, under the Resources & Tools tab, you can find a multitude of products, manuals, and tools developed by Alzheimer's Demonstration grantees which you may adapt for local use.
